About Me

Shih-Yao (Mike) Lin is an Applied Scientist at Amazon, focusing on video captioning, and video analysis for the recommendation system in Prime Video. Prior to this role, he worked on the project of large scale Vision-Language Model Pre-training and Zero-shot Prediction at Alexa AI. From October 2021 to July 2022, he worked at Sony (R&D Center US Lab) as a Senior Research Scientist, focusing on 3D Character Motion Generation for Games. From April 2018 to August 2021, he worked at Tencent America as a Senior Researcher, specializing in Human Pose Estimation and Motion Analysis. he also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bosch from May 2017 to March 2018, contributing to projects of Sensor-based Hand Gesture Detection. His research interests lie at the intersection of Computer Vision and Deep Multimodal Learning.
